Common Dietary Misconceptions and Dietary Health Management Strategies Among the Elderly Population

Abstract: This article conducts a systematic analysis of the common dietary concepts, behaviors and tonic misunderstandings among the elderly group,and based on this, proposes health management strategies.Analysis suggests that among the elderly population, there are widespread problems such as excesive pursuit of weight loss, blind relianceonvegetarian food,and incorrectunderstandingof nutritional intake.To effectivelydeal with these problems,itis necessrytocomprehensivelyconsider individual diferences,combine theprinciplesofscientific dietary combination,and carry out intervention through community and family collaboration.By optimizing the dietary structure,corecting bad eating habits,and strengthening health educationand publicity,the nutritional status ofthe elderly population canbe effectively improved, therisk ofchronic diseases canbereduced,and thuscontribute to the realization of the goal of healthy aging.
