Analysis ofProficient Verification Results for Detection of Staphylococcus aureus in Food

Abstract: Objective: To participate in the proficiency testing experiment for the qualitative detection of Salmonel,Staphylococcus aureus and Cronobacter (Enterobacter sakazakii) in milk powder numbered CNCA24-01,and to verify the ability of the testing institution to detect Staphylococcus aureus.Method: According to the test instruction manual for proficiency testing and referring to the first method in GB 4789.10—2016 to detect the proficiency testing samples of Staphylococcus aureus,for the isolated suspicious colonies,microscopic examination and the identification stripof Haibo HB4l17-4 freeze-dried rabbit plasma were used for identification. Meanwhile,the suspicious colonies were determined by using the fully automatic microbial biochemical identification system (VITEK2). Result: Staphylococcus aureus was detected in sample 24-Q199,but not in sample 24-K168.The test results were consistent with the national standard method. Conclusion: The proficiency test result ofthis laboratory is“satisfactory”,verifying the testing capability of the inspection and testing institution for Staphylococcus aureus.
