Analysis of Total Hardness Monitoring Results of Drinking Water in Longnan City from 2018 to 2023

Abstract: Objective: To analyze the monitoring results of total hardness of drinking water in 8 counties of 1 district ofLongnan city from 2018 to 2023,and to understand the total hardness of drinking water inLongnan city. Method:The total hardnesswas carried out acording to the GB/T5750.4—2023and the evaluation was carried out according to the GB/T5749—2022.Result: From 2018 to 2023,the total hardnessof drinking water in Longnan city was detected in 6 759 samples, 170 samples exceeded the standard ( ??450mg.L-1 ),and the over-standard rate was 2.52% .There were 913 water samples between 0mg?L-1 to 150mg.L-1 ? (13.51%) , 1 400 water samples between 151mg.L-1 to 300mg.L-1 (20.71%) ,and 4 276 water samples between 301mg-L-1 to 449mg.L-1 ( 63.26% . The analysis of the binary logistic regression model of each group showed that different districts andcounties and two groups before and after poverty alleviation were the positive influencing factors of total hardness exceeding the standard ( p<0.001 ). Conclusion: The drinking water in Longnan city is mainly medium hard water (301mg?L-1 to 449mg?L-1 . The difference in total hardness maybe related to the distribution of water system.According to he total hardness of drinking water in each county, economic and feasible improvement measures are selected.
