The Current Situation and Enhancement Strategies of Competence of Secondary School Mental Health Teachers

AbstractObjective:To explore the current situation of the competence of secondary school mental health teachers and strategies for improvement. Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted among secondary school mental health teachers.Results: The overallcompetence level of secondaryschool mental health teachers is good; there is no significant difference incompetence between teachers of diffrent genders; teachers with5 years or more ofexperience outperform those with 1 year or less in most factors and overallcompetency; teachers holding administrative positions have advantages in all factors and the total score.Based on these findings,this paper proposes the following strategies: constructing a scientific and reasonable competence system; emphasizing professionaltraining and optimizing training formats and content; supporting the rapid growth of teachers with fewer years of experience; encouraging teachers to take on administrative positions.
