AbstractThearticleis basedonasurveyof394kindergarten teachers inShaanxiProvince,andusesaself-designed questionnaire toanalyze theSTEMliteracyof preschool teachersand their intention tocarryoutSTEMactivities.The resultsshowthattheoverallSTEMliteracyandvarious dimensionsofteachersareatanaboveaverage level;Thereare significantdifferencesinSTEMeducationcognition,valuesandatitudes,aswellastheabilitytodesignandimplement STEMactivities among teachers of diferent age groups,and teaching experience and education also havean impact ontheir abilities.Inaddition,teachers inpublicandurbankindergartenshave slightlyhigherabilitiesindesigningand implementing STEMactivities than teachers in private andrural kindergartens.Overall,teachers generally have a positive intention to implement STEMactivities.
