A Study on the Dynamic Evolution of English Normal School Students'TeacherBeliefs

AbstractThis paper examines thedynamic evolution and influencing factors ofEnglish normal universitystudents' teacher belief s during their educational practice by means of interviews,personal reflection diaries and classroom observation.The results show that: in the educational practice stage,students hold the instrumental view of language, and their teaching belief gradually changes from communicative competence cultivation to vocabulary and grammar teaching; theystart topayatention to the needs ofstudents,and their beliefin the relationship between teachers and students has graduallychangedfrom friend relationshipto the role ofteachers' management.Furthermore,students have gradually become confused about their professional development.The main reasons for above changes include student feedback,classroom practice and practice instructor.
