Abstract: With the rapid development of information technology, generative artificial intellgence technology has become an important innovative force in the field of education.This article focuses on the application of generative artificialintelligencetechnologyincollegeEnglishteaching,elaboratingonitscorecharacteristics,includingmachine learning,deep learning,andnaturallanguage processing technologies.Italsoanalyzes the needs ofthese technologies in personalized learning path customization,automated evaluation and instant feedback, intelligent resource management and recommendation,and enhancing interactive and collaborative learning experiences.Through specific case analysis,this study explores and analyzes the applicationachievementsof generative artificial inteligence technology inpersonalized teaching,eficient evaluation and fedback,optimizationof teachingresources,crosscultural communication simulation,and emotion recognition and adaptive learning, inorder to provide reference for scholars and teachers who are concerned about the application of this technology.
