Abstract: This paper conducts a systematic classfication and comparative analysis of communication technologies within Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks (VANETs). Based on the range of communication, wireless access technologiesare categorized into threesubclasses: Short-Range Communication (SRC),Long-Range Communication (LRC),and Medium-Range Communication (MRC).The advantages and limitations of each subclass are thoroughly examined,aiming to provide a theoretical foundation and practical guidance for the selection and optimization of VANET communication technologies.
