AbstractIn the context of globalization and rapid development of artificial intellgence，it is crucialfor applied undergraduate foreign language courses to cultivate students' cross-cultural thinking abilities.The article analyzes the importantroleofusing artificial intellgence technology incultivating students'cross-cultural thinking ability inforeign language courses，including promoting multidimensional interaction，deepening cultural understanding，cultivating forward thinking，andexpandingglobalperspectives.It proposes usingartificialintellgencetostimulatestudents'intrinsic learming motivation，buildinterdisciplinaryknowledge networks，promoteculturalreflectionandintrospection，cultivate cultural innovationability，andexpandvirtual communityinteraction，inorder toimprovethequalityofforeignlanguage teaching in applied undergraduate colleges and cultivate versatile talents that meet the needs of the times.
