AbstractInnovation ability is anindispensablecondition for the sustainable development ofcollege students.Based on the problems existing in the teaching process of traditional environmental engineering microbiology experiments， thisarticle aims tocultivate high-quality applied talents with innovativeconsciousnes，with student development as the center and project-based teaching as the breakthrough point.It explores the curriculum system and teaching mode of project-based teaching for environmental engineering microbiology experiments，and conducts step-by-step projectbased teaching practice and teaching reflection， providing reference for the cultivation of innovative ability of environmental engineering students.
