Design and Experiment of Elastic Pull-type White Radish Harvester

Abstract:Addressingthe issuesof missed pulinganddamagedradishes inexisting whiteradishharvesters,anelastic pulltype whiteradishharvesterisdesigned.Walkingchasis,elasticclampingdevice,adjustingdeviceandotherauxiliarydevicesare designed with SolidWorkssoftware.Thestrengthof thesoillosening componentisverifiedusingthefiniteelementanalysis software SWSimulation,withtheresultsshowingthatthemaximumdeformationandmaximumstressof thepartsarewithinthe allwablerangeofthematerials.Elasticclampingperformanceexperimentsareonducted,determiningthedistancebetweenthe puling devicesas 90mm,andtheoptimalcombinedthicknessof elastic materialsas 3OmmforEPEonone sideand10 mm for EVAonone side,whichcanprovideamaximum pullng forceof2OONand2.3N/mm averagesifnessvalueof the elastic materials.Aprototypeisfabricatedandfieldexperimentsareperformed,whichdemonstratethatthemachinecansuessfully harvest white radishesand effectively prevent missed pulling and radish damage.
