Tool Wear Identification Basedon Balanced Joint Distribution Adaptation in Different Source Regions under Variable Working Conditions

Abstract:Inodertoimprovetheaccuracyof tolwearidentificationinthecaseofvariableworkingconditionsandheterogeneous samples,atol wearidentificationalgorithmbasedonbalancedjointdistributionadaptationisproposed.Thetol wear mechanismandwearprocesscharacteristicsareanalyzed,andthetolweareature spaceisconstructedfrommultipledomain.To copewiththefailureindeterminingthedistributionadaptationconcernduetothediferenceofedgedistributionandthe dierenceofconditionalprobabilitydistribution,anequilibriumjointdisributionadaptationmethodisproposedtoachievethe optimaladaptationefectofthesouredomainandtargetdomain.Thebalanced jointdistributionadaptationandKNNalgorithm areappliedtotheidentificationoftoolwearundervariableworkingcondions.Theexperimentverifiesthattheaverage recognition accuracy of balanced joint distribution adaptation and KNN iteration is 92.59% ,17.28 per cent higher than that of JDA + KNNmethod,indcatingthatthebalancedjointdistributionadaptationhasadvantagesintolwearidentificationindifferent regions.
