Nonlinear Vibration Research on Two-stage Gear Systems

Abstract：Given theconsideration of nonlinear factors such asbacklash，avibration mathematical model of thegear system was established，towhichumericalsolutionwascariedout，thusthebifurcationdiagramofthemodelbeingobtained.Theaalysis onthebifurcation diagramshows that thegearsystem exhibitscomplex anddiversedynamiccharacteristicsalong withthechanges in speeding，damping ratioand torsional dampingratio.Andthesystem displays doubling bifurcationand Hopfbifurcationas the speed changes，leadingtochaosthroughHopfbifurcationphaselocking.Asthedampingratiochangesdrasticaly，itwill eventually enterinto chaos through period doublingbifurcation.
