Abstract：BasedonThomas Kuhn’sclassic workThe StructureofScientificRevolutions，，thispapersystematicallyexploresthforationbackgroundandcootationdefitiooft“paradigm”toymingteeplyeealtelinearcaracteristcsaddicna tureofscienificdevelopent.Kuhn’soncptof“paradigm”didoteergeinolatio；itsforationwaseplyuencedbyhestudy ofthehistoryofience，shiftsinilosoicalthoughtandontemporarysietificpractie.Bynalyghistocaleventssucste CopernicanRevolutionandNewtonianmechanics，Kuhnproposedthe“normalscience-crisis-paradigmshift”modelofsientfcdevelopment，evealing tedynamicprocessthoughhichtesieificommunityedefiesitsresearchframeworkduringcrises.Thecootation of“paradigm”isdeplydefinedintreeaspects：fist，“paradigm”isteknowdgefoundationofsientifcesearhactivities，efiing theproblemdomainndtpicalslutiosforthesientificommunity；scond，“paadigm”istenoativestmofsientificach guidingthebehaviorandmethodchoicesofsientists；finally，a“paradigm”isasharedbeliefstructurewitinthescientificcommnity constituting the cognitive framework for understanding the world and explaining phenomena.
