Abstract: Based on literature research, this paper combs through the current status of practical teaching models and the existing problems in practical teaching. It further analyzes the specific problems in practical teaching caused by the particularity of economics and management majors and explores the possible reasons for these problems. On this basis, the paper discusses the new requirements for digital practical teaching models under the background of digital transformation. Subsequently, by utilizing urban hierarchical data, indicators and panel models are constructed to conduct an empirical test on the effect of urban digital transformation on education and teaching as well as practical teaching. The results show that digital transformation indeed has a significant positive effect on secondary and higher education teaching as well as practical teaching. Finally, based on the conclusions, feasible suggestions and measures for the construction of practical teaching models in economics and management majors during the digital transformation process are proposed.
