AbstractIn this paper, the carbon footprint per unit area ( CFA ),carbon footprint per unit value ( CFv )and carbon footprint per unit nutrient density ( CFNDU )oftherice-fish-duck compositesystem in the Dong Townshipof CongjiangCounty,a Globaly Important Agricultural Cultural Heritage(GAHC),were measuredbasedontheresearchdataofthefarers,ndthelifecycleassessmentmethodwasusedtoopare CFA , CFv and CFNDU ofthe composite system with thatofthetraditional rice-fish symbiosisand the conventional ricecropping.Theresults showed that the CFA , CFv and CF NDU of the rice-fish-duck composite system were 8338.31kg(CO2eq)/hm2 , 0.05kg(CO2eq )/yuan and 8.32kg(CO2eq)/NDU ,respectively,and that of the rice-fish symbiosis model, CFA,CFv and CFNDU were 8057.02kg(CO2eq)/hm2 , (204號 0.10kg(CO2eq)/yuan ,and 9.85kg(CO2eq)/NDU ,respectively;and in the conventional rice-fish cropping system,the CFA , CFv ,and CFNDU were 9908.22kg(CO2eq)/hm2 , 0.30kg(CO2eq)/yuan , 14.49kg(CO2eq)/NDU .The Rice-fish-duck complex system has the highestnutrientdensityoutput(DU),providsavarietyoffodsources,ndelpstoeichtedietarystructueofpeople’sdieructueo reover,ithasthalstcabonfoprpnitfutputvaue,ichsaghotetaforpularzationdisnualpodc tion model that balances economic benefits and environmental sustainability.
