AbstractObjective：Toobservetheaplicationof heartratevariability（HRV）indices inassssng diseaseseverityinpatients withobstructivesleepapneahypopnea syndrome（OSAHS）.Methods：Atotalof168OSAHSpatientsadmited to Xingyi People's Hospital from January2O24to January 2O25 were selectedas theresearch subjects.Basedonthe apnea-hypopnea index（AHI）， patients were divided into a mild group（AHI 5 to 15 events/h） and a moderate-severe group（ AHI>15 events/h） . Baseline characteristics and HRV indices were compared between the two groups.Thecorelation between HRV indices and sleep parameters， as wellas thevalueofHRVinasssing OSAHSseveritywere analyzedResults：The moderate-severe groupshowedsignificantly lowervalues inallHRVindicescomparedtothe mildgroup，including thestandarddeviationof allnormalRR intervals（SDNN）， root mean square of succesiveRR interval differences（rMSSD），percentage of adjacent RR intervals difering by >50 ms （pNN50），and high-frequency power（HF）（ P<0.05 ）. Pearson correlation analysis revealed that sleep latency，percentage of deep sleep，and percentageofREMsleep were positivelycorelated withHRVparameters，whiletotal sleep time，sleepeffciency， percentage of light sleep，and number of nocturnal awakenings were negatively correlated with HRV parameters（ P<0.05 ）. ROC curve analysis demonstrated that HRV indices havecertain value in assessing OSAHS severity.Conclusion：HRV indicatorsare correlated withOSAHSslee indicatorsandcanserve asimportantauxiliarytools forassessing theseverityofOSAHSand predicting cardiovascular risk.
