Abstract: Applying the theory of the“hermeneutic circle” to literature teaching not only establishes a systematic framework but also stimulates profound philosophical reflection. This theory emphasizes the cyclical interaction between the“part” and the“whole,” as well as the rich meanings embedded at various levels, thereby demonstrating the plurality and openness of interpretation. In teaching William Blake’s poem“The Tyger,” the instructor can artistically guide students to dialectically examine the relationship between the“part” and the“whole” and integrate both “grammatical” and " psychological” interpretive perspectives. Through dialogue and communication, students can elevate theirunderstanding tothe level ofpublicinterpretation, ultimatelyachievingshared comprehension. In a nutshell, the“hermeneutic circle”offers a reflective, interactive, and open reading model for literature education, reinforcing textual interpretation skils while also serving as a critical exercise in logical reasoning, critical thinking, and innovation. This approach enables the students’literary studies to evolve toward greater artistic, existential, and historical depth.
