——談英語文學教學的藝術(shù)性及其實現(xiàn)手段

Abstract:The courses of literature have always taken a central position in the discipline of English Studies in China in higher education. Over the past twenty years,however,literature teaching has been under the pressure of practical demands both from society and the academic community, such as the requirements for cultivating versatile talents. At the same time, there has been an increase in the textbooks of English literature and selective courses of English literature. But it does not necessarily mean that the problems in literature teaching over the past years have been solved satisfactorily. How to explore more effective approaches to literary teaching on the basis of the prevalent mode?Itis proposed that there should be stronger awareness of the unique nature of literature and more effctive implementation of this idea in the teaching practice. The method that progresses from the close reading to the deep structuring would be investigated, so as to highlight the artistry of literary teaching. It is believed that these suggestions will set off more changes to come in our teaching practices.
