Abstract:Professor Zhao Junfeng, Vice Chair of the Fourth National Committee for Graduate Education of Translation and Interpreting shares his insights on the development of the Doctor of Translation and Interpreting(DTl) education based on years of experience in translation education management. He emphasizes the importance of focusing on national strategies and adopting the cultivation philosophy of three keywords“high-end”“l(fā)eadership” and“cutting”. He stresses the need to think about four relationships between translation and technology,translation and international communication,translationand international organizations,and translation and regional/countryspecific or vertical fields. Furthermore,he advocates for deepening the integration of industry and education,promoting innovative explorations that align with national development,regional demands, andthe distinctive characteristics of universities.
