[Abstract] Objective： To explore the impact of neuromuscular electrical stimulation combined with functional exercises on the rehabilitationof patients with severe traumatic brain injury.Method： A total of 100 patients withsevere craniocerebraltrauma who were treated in Dongtai People's Hospital from April 2O22 to October 2023 were selected and divided into the control group （n=5O） and the observation group （ n =50） by random lottery. Both groups received mechanical ventilation treatment. Among them，the control group was given conventional nursing intervention and neuromuscular electrical stimulation， while the observation group was combined with functionalexerciseson the basis ofthecontrol group.The mechanical ventilation time，ICUstaytime，hospitalization cost，infectionindicators（WBC，CRP，PCT），Gasgowcomascale （GCS）score，NHSSscoreat3and14daysafter ICU admission，and the incidence of complications were compared between the two groups.Result： Compared with the control group，the mechanical ventilation time and ICU stay time in the observation group were shorter，and the hospitalization cost was lower （ P <0.05）. Compared with the control group，14 daysafter admission to the ICU， the levels of WBC，CRP，PCTand NIHSS score in the observation group were lower，and the GCS score was higher 0 P- <0.05）.The incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group （ P <0.05）. Conclusion： The application of neuromuscular electrical stimulation combined with functional exercise in the nursing intervention of patients with severe craniocerebral trauma can efectivelyshorten the mechanical ventilation timeand hospital stayofpatients，promote the recoveryof neurological functionofpatients，andatthesame timebe conducive to reducing the risk of adverse reactions such as ventilator-associated pneumonia.
