Abstract:Theinconsistencyoflithium-ionbaterypacksreducescapacity,shortensservicelife,andevenposessafety risks.Therefore,efectiveequalizationtechniquesmustbeintroducedtomitigatetheimpactof inconsistency.Adouble-layer equalizationmethodisproposedtoimprovetheequalizationspeedfseris-coectedlithium-iobaterypacks.Inthisethod, asingle-nductorequalizationstructureimprovedonthebasisofthetraditionalBuck-Boostcircuitisemployedforthebottom circuit,whileaninductor-capacitorseries-conectedstructureisadoptedforthetopcircuit.BytakingthebaterySOC(stateof charge)as theequilibriumtargetvariable,adouble-layerequalizationcontrolstrategyadaptedtothetopologyisestablished basedonthediference-average metod.Experimentswithsix ternarylithium-ionbateriesonthe Matlab/Simulinkplatformshow thatthedouble-layerequalizationcontrolmethodcanimproveequalizationspeedby14.5%,15.2%and13.2%intheresting, charginganddischargingstates,respectively,inombinationwiththetraditionalBuck-Bostqualizatiomethod.Iisoied that the proposed method can improve the equalization speed of battery packs.
