From Spiritual Worship to Realistic Metaphor： The Aesthetic Divide of the "Concept of Nature" in Poetry

—Taking Wordsworth and Gong Zizhen as Examples

Abstract：Thispaperaims toexplorethesimilaritiesanddiferencesofthenaturalviewsof theBritishpoetWilliam Wordsworth andtheChinesepoetGongZzhninthe8th-19thcenturies，aswellastheirsignificanceintherespectieeras troughcross-ulturalcomparsonBydoptingthetextnalysismethod，tispaperconductsanindepthinterpretationofthepoetryworksoftheo poets，andanalyzesthemfromthedimensionssuchasorevalueorientation，culturalcontext，andsocialrelations.Thestudyfinds thatbothof themusenatureasthecarierforexpressngemotionsandphilosophy.Wordsworthusesnaturetoresistthealienationof industrialcivilatiohileGongZnssaraliagstoeapoecialilsofoopcalfoudatioefo merintegratesreligiouspantheism，andthelatercombinesthTaoistcyclicideologyandtheConfucianspiritofactivelyegagngin society.However，Wordsworth'snatural viewtakes"returnandhealing"asthecore，fullof Westernromanticcolors，whileGong Zizhenpresents theorientalaestheticcharacteristicsof"contradictionandstrugle".Theresearchresultsshowthatthetwopoetsre flectonhumannatureandthetimes throughnature.Theirpoeticcreations notonlyhighlight theculturaldiferencesbetweenthEast and the West but also leave a precious spiritual heritage for future generations.
