Abstract： The application of mind mapping in English language education and language teaching not only follows the basic rulesofmemoring，readingandthinkingtraining，whichhelpsleaersdeepentheirunderstanding，butalsoectivelyfaciliates people'slogical thinking and greatly improves the eficiencyofEnglish teaching and learning.Asa teaching tool，mind mapping canefectivelypromotelearners’activeexplorationanddiscoveryofknowledgewhenproperlyused inclassroomteaching，highlighting the characteristics of the teaching mode of “discovery learning”and giving full play to its advantages.
