Abstract:MostextbooksinmodernJapanatributedtheoutbreakof theImjinWar(theJapaneseinvasionofKoreaduringthe Wanli periodoftheMingDynasty)toToyotomi Hdeyoshi’spersonalambition,andthecombinationofthis“Hideyoshi’sambitiontheor”with thevarioussocialideologesinmodeJapangaverisetoavartyofdfrentatrbutionstheors.Tecombinationofthe“Hideoshs ambitionteory”andAsianismgaverisetothe“unificationofthEastAsiatheory”andthe“Japan-MingDynastydiplomaticrelationstheory”,andwencombiedithteimpealnatioalstoryiew,itedtot“demonstratingtenatioalprestigtor”,andco binedwithtetrendof“sarchngfortemodeityofthOrentalhistor”inteacademichstoyicleasellastheoloalucation promotedbyteJapansegoveentthe“natioalideologthormergd.Itisorthotingtatalloftebovsecondeo flourished inthe188Os,suggesting theimportant positionof this historical periodinthe historyof Japanese thought.
