[Abstract] The structured designof physical educationcontentin nine-year coherentschools is particularly important fromthe perspective of big concepts.Firstly,the structured design of physical education content in nine-yearcoherent schools is basedonthetheories ofbig conceptteaching,curiculum integration,andcore physical iteracy.Thesetheories provide a solid foundation and guidance for optimizing physical education teaching content. Then, it analyzes the challenges existing in the current physical education teaching content, which are mainly manifested ina high degree offragmentation,inadequateconnection between school sections,disconnection from students' growth needs,and teachers'lack of understandingand implementation ability.Inresponse tothe above challenges,the following strategies are proposed: establishing the core big concepts of the physical education discipline,constructing a spirall ascending content system,designing cross-school-section thematic units,andestablishingan evaluation standard mainly based on big concepts, so as to achieve a systematic, coherent and effective physical education teaching content.
