[Abstract] Generative teaching,asanew teaching philosophy,emphasizes the dynamic generationand interaction in theteaching processrather than the staticand predetermined knowledge transmision.Inthe physical educationdiscipline of higher vocational collges,the cultivation ofcore literacy is thekey to improving students'comprehensive quality, includig multiple aspects such as sports skilsand knowledge,physical and mental health,cooperation and communication.This paper takes generative teaching as the research starting point,analyzes the key characteristics of generative physical education classrooms, explores thecompatibility between generative teaching and the cultivation ofcore literacy in higher vocational physical education disciplines in termsof teaching objectives,teaching methods, teaching processes,teaching evaluations and teaching resources.The teaching design processhould atach importance toseting goalsinahierarchical manner,highlightingthecharacteristicsofflexibilityanddynamicopenness.The teaching process should atch importance to integrating education with entertainment,deepen clasroom interaction and enhance embodied experience.Teaching evaluation should atach importance to quantitative evaluation and improve the teaching evaluation index system.
