An Exploration of Cross-Cultural Communication Path of New Media from the Perspective of Cultural Empathy
—Taking YouTube Blogger Little Chinese Everywhere as an Example

Abstract:Intheeraofnewmedia,wherecommunicationincreasinglypenetratesgrasrots levels,cultural empathyhasbecome thecornerstoneofefectiveinterculturalcommunicationunderdiverseculturalcontexts.Basedonthetheoryofculturalempathy,this paperusescontentanalysisandtextanalysistoanalyzethetopnine videosandcomments inYouTubeblogerLitleChineseEverywhere.Itisfoudatiocsofaioitsalateolaioso people toshowthereallandscapeofpeople'slivelihoodinChinaandestablishesemotionalconnections withoverseasaudienes.The reviewsampleswereestablishedbypurposefulrandomsampling.Throughtheanalysisofthesamples,itwasfoundthatoverseasaudiencesshowedapositiveemotional tendencytothevideocontents,andthespreadofthecontentscausedtheaudiencesempathyeffect.Meanwhile,thepapersummarizesfeasiblepathsforcross-culturalcommunicationofnewmediathroughanalysisof individual users.Firstofallweshouldmakethecosculturalommunicationcontent "grassrootsandnaowthepsyhologicaldistancewith overseasaudiences.Secodlypromotingdiverseculturalcotentandfullyleveragingulturalempathyandresonanceareucialnd adhere to the principle of moderate cultural empathy.
