Abstract：Basedonafield studyof the Aobao sacrificeceremony in Bayinbaogeda，this paper explores thehistory，ritual process，culturalconntationsiheritance，anddevelopmentof theceremonyfromtheperspectiveofculturalevolutionThe BayinbaogedaAobao，located in DamaoBanner，Baotou City，InnerMongoliahasahistory ofover 3O years.During the Qing Dynasty，it wasasacred siteforthe Dalkhanand Maomingan tribes to jointly worship.Over the past30years，the themeoftheBayinbaogeda Aobaosacrificeceremonyhasbecomediverse，evolvingfromamemorialforheroes whosacrificed their livesinwar，ledbyprincesandnobles，toaprayerforrainandblessingsforthepastoralpeopleofthe grasslandThe political significance of theAobaosacrificehas graduallydiminished，andtogether withtheNadamFaironthegrassad，it has becomeaplatformtoshowcasethehistoricalcultureethniccharacteristicsandfolktraditionsoftheDamaoGrassand.
