Genetic diversity analysis of agronomic traits of 101 pod pepper germ plasmresources

Abstract: Inorder to explore the agronomic trait diversityof pod pepper germplasm resources and improve their utilizationeficiencythisstudyused10lpodpeppergermplasmresouresasmaterialstoconductdiferentialanalysiscorelationanalysis,principalcomponentanalysis,andclusteranalysisof9agronomic traits.Theresultsshowed thatthecoefficientsof variation for9agronomic traitsranged from 11.47% to 23.61% ,and the genetic diversity indexvaried between 1.43and2.07.Exceptforstem thickness,which wasnotsignificantlycorelated withotheragronomic traits,theother8 agronomic traitsweresignificantlyorextremelysignificantlycorelatedwithatleast1otheragronomictrait.Cluster analysis clasified the101 pod pepper germplasm resources into 5 major groups, with group Vonlycontained 1 germplasm resource.There weresignificantdifferences ineffective branches,fruits numberperplant,andsinglefruitmassbetween groups I-IV.Principalcomponent analysis extractedatotalof 4 principal components,withacumulativecontributionrate of 75.331% .Based on the comprehensive score of principal components,10 excelent germplasm resources were selected, which can be used as basic materials for germplasm innovation and pod pepper breeding.
