[Abstract]Objective： To explore the guiding value and application significance of procalcitonin （PCT）， interleukin-6 （IL-6），Creactive protein（CRP）andlactatedehydrogenase （LDH）levels in the treatmentof respiratory tract infection in children.Method：Atotal of120childrenwithrespiratory tract infections treated inthe Second People's Hospital of Jingdezhen from January 2022 to September 2023 were selected， and they were randomly divided into two groups， with 60 cases in each group.The control group was treated with conventionalantibiotics， while the observation group was guided by the levelsof PCT，IL-6， CRP， and LDH for antibiotic treatment.The clinical symptomsdisappearancetime，totaleffctiverateoftreatment， antibioticusetimeandantibioticuserate were compared between the two groups，andthelevels of PCT， IL-6，CRPand LDHbefore and after treatment between the two groups were compared. Result： Compared with the control group， the cough disappearance time， fever disappearancetimeintheobservationgroupwereearlierandantibioticusetime wasshorter，thetotalefectiverateof treatment was higher， and the antibiotic use rate was lower （ P <0.05）. After 24 h of treatment， the levels of PCT， IL-6， LDH and CRP in both groups were lower than those before treatment， and those inthe observation group was lower than those in the control group （ P <0.05）.Conclusion： Guiding the use of antibiotics in children with respiratory tract infection based onthelevelsof PCT， IL-6，CRP and LDHcan eectively shorten the timeof symptom disappearance in children， improve the therapeutic efect， and reduce the use time and medication rate of antibiotics.
