Abstract：ThisstudydeplyexploresthecuturaluniquenessofTheEpicofBacuqloxgdhandthechalengesfacedinitstraslation process，andaalyesthspecificanifestatisaddualfectsofte“ookinggselfpenmenoninthetranslationandissa tionofthisepic.Thesudyrevealstattheculturaluniquenessoftepicisprimarilyembodiedintesacrednessandoraltransiioof itstext.Amongtese，theuntraslatabilityfdivinenamesandosmologicalviews，asellastelssofologicalmetaphosdurige translatioprosssiteolsiialaarocsofsalasd ination，thetraslator’ulturalbackgroundandvaluejudgmentsforte“self-iror”，iletereader’sreceptivecontetcostiute the“other-miror”，bothofhichjointlycontributetothe“okingglasselfphenomenon.Ontheonehand，uetoculturaldiereces， theclaicysufefroualdisotinteprocsof rslationnddsseatioadngteductioiitslalalueOn theotherhandoughthrslator’seatieproesingnddaptatioculreiseproducedndioatedievig mentinculturalvalue，therebyformingthe“dualmirorimage”efectofthe“l(fā)okingglasselfphenomenon.Thispenomenonreveals theessenceof translationthatis，itisnotasimplecodeswicing，butadyamicprocesshereculturalsubjectsreflectontselves and reconstruct meaning through the mirror of the other.
