Abstract：The“NorthernTalks”wereaseriesofimportantspecesdeliveredbyDengXiaopingathecriticalmomentwhendomestic reformwasurgentlyneededandagainstthebackdropoftheeraof greatchanges，withforeign modernizationadvancingbyleapsand bounds.Inhisspeeches，Deng Xiaopingputforwardnewrequirements inmanyaspects，suchasemancipatingthemind，seekingtruth fromfacts，vigorouslydevelopingteproductivefoces，foringthepolicalsystem，openinguptoteoutsideworldandsustainablede velopment，thuspointingoutthedirectionforChina’sreformandopeningup.The“NortheTalks”aretheinauguralworkofDengXiaopingTheoryTheyenlightenpeopletoemancipatetheirmindsandbreaktheigidity，andstillhaveimportantguidingsignificanceforte Partyandhecountrytoemancipatetheirmindsatthnewhistoricalorientationndpromotethecomprehensivedeepeningofrefoand the comprehensive expansion of opening up.

1978年9月，鄧小平結(jié)束對朝鮮的國事訪問后，返京途中視察了東北的哈爾濱、長春等地，提出了對時政的一系列觀點(diǎn)和建議，強(qiáng)烈地批判了“兩個凡是”的觀點(diǎn)，明確了對真理標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的認(rèn)識，被歷史學(xué)家們稱為“北方談話”。（剩余6089字）
