Abstract：YaekoNogami’schild-rearing novelsarerotedinherpersonalexperiencesofchildbithandchildcare.Whilewritingabouthildren，theseworksalsodepicttematealfamilyolesfromvariousangles.Takingmatealexperiencesastheircoreheseno velsportraythejosandsorosofmoterhoodandmateallove，interpretingthethemeofwomen’smatealrolesinthateraAtthe sametime，thenovelreflecttheregulatiosandexpectationsofwomen’srolesinmodernJapanesesocietytroughthelifeoftheothe andthemotsinovelsibitistiutioaldhaacterists.Iditioeotsintetsualintelllo which is closely related to the intellctual atmosphere of middle-and-upper-class parenting at that time.
