A Research on the English Translation Norms for Henan Cuisine Dish Names

Abstract:TheamingofHenancuisinecanbecategorizedintotwapproahes:literalrepresentationandartisticexpressnToalign withthecharacteristicsofHenancusine,translationmethodsshouldcombineliteraltranslation,freetranslation,andotherteciques whileensuringauracyiinformation ransmision.Specifically,hetranslationofHenancuisinedishnamesmayadoptthefolowing strategies:begiingwiththeainingredient,folowdbysupplementaryingredients,saucs,orcodiments;leadingithcooinget ods,folowedbyainingedients;higlightingsapeortexture,folledbyngredients;efereningtheatorrplaceofoiginfol lowedbythemainingredientordishname.TheHenanProvincePublicServceSectorEnglishTranslationReference(ialImpleetation) (2019)containstwocriticalisues:MistranslationsduetoinsufcentunderstandingofHenancusine,whichsouldbeadreedbys lectingappropriatetraslatiomethodsbsedonatoroughuderstandingofdisompositionprepaatontchques,anddistictieeatures;inconsistencisithger-lvelstadards,suchsatioalgdelins.Strictderencetoeelevantnatioaladardsisipe ative.Fordisswitellknoforeinaes,raslatiosustlnititeatioallycogdEnglisovetiostosueglo al comprehensibility.
