Abstract：Thermal insulationmaterialisanindispensablekeymaterialforbaterythermalmanagementsystem.Specialvacuum insulationpanel（VIP）showsagoodapplicationprospectinimprovingtheperformanceofbaterysystemwithitsexcelentthemal insultionandfireprotectionperformance.Thispapersystematicalyintroduces themainperformanceindexesofmetalVIPandultra thin VIPfor thefirstime.Thethermalinsulationperformanceanddynamicheattransfercharacteristicsaretestedandanalyzed. ComparedwithexistingerogelfetproductsspecialVssignificantlyimprovetheperformanceofthebterypackandtheatterylife inlowtemperatureeiront，sostoiibittalnaaypropgatioofateresilentainggstecti. Theresultsshowthatthenewspecialvacuuminsulationproducts havemoreadvantagesinteintegrateddesignof heatdisipation， heat insulation and fire prevention of batteriesand energy storage systems.
