Abstract：ThispapercombinesthecharacteristicsofwaterdiversionflowinYongxing RiverIrigationArea，relieson moderInternetof Thingstransmisiontechnology，andusesradarwaveflowmeasurementprinciplestorealizethebesttechnical solutionforopenchannelcross-sectionflowmeasurement.Throughactualcomparison，thecomparativeadvantagesofthisflow measurementtechnical solutionarelowconstructionandoperationcosts，theaccuracyofchannelcross-sectionflowmeasurement canmetcurrentnationalregulatoryrequirements，andtheperformanceoftheworkandoperationprocess isstableandreliable. ThiswillfurtherimprovetheautomationlevelandeffciencyoffowmonitoringinYongxingRiverIrigationAreainFengtai County，andsolvethebotleneckproblemofutomaticflowmeasurementinmaincanalsandbranchcanalsintheirigationarea under unattended conditions.
