Abstract: There is an iron mine goaf below the K7+715-K7+747 section of the Benhuan Expressway. The distribution of thegoaf isdetectedusingthree-dimensional(3D)laserscaning.Thethree-dimensionallaserscanningofthetargetgoafis dividedintotwostages:thefirststageisscanedusingahandheld3Dlaserscanner,andthesecondstageisscanedusinga drilingtype3Dlaserscaner.ThroughtheuseofLASresultsdatanoiseremovalandredundantdataeliminationwerecaried outinthegoafareainthelaterstage.Modelingandencapsulationwerecariedouttogeneratecross-sectionaldiagrams, providingreliableguarantees foron-siteconstructionsafety.Theresearchresultshavecasereferenceandguidancesignificance forsimilar engineering problems.
