AbstractBasedonteKigingiterpolatiotod,spatialiterpolatioaspfodusingprecipiatiodatafo89eteoloicalsta tionsandemperatuedatafrom222meteorolgicalstatiosinNanchongCitytoanalyeteightemperatureanddoughtweatherdurigte floodseason(MaytoSeptember)inNanchongCityin22Teprecipitationiterolationfitigresultserevalidatedusing63epreta tive meteorologicalstatios.Theresultsshowedthatduringthefloodseasonin222,theoverallclimateofNanchong Cityshowedrendof hightemperatureandlitlein,ih15stiosbakingteistoicalcodfordailymaxiumtemperaturead23statiosbeaking e historicalrecordforaveragetemperature.Thenumberof hightemperaturedayswastehighestinhistorysince1959,withawideoverage longdurationdgintesitofghtmperure,llofchereaeistyyinteplatigteeregeofbolpiiati on,itouldbecocludedthatthrewillevaingdegresofdroughtinNanchongCitduringthefooseasoofO.Thedroughtaa, mild,moderate,and severe drought areas in August were the largest,accounting for 85.08% , 30.57% , 40.01% and 12.92% ,respectively. The particularly severe drought area was the largest,accounting for 9.26% ,in July,and the drought situation was the lightest in September. 63representativemeteorologicalstatioswithpreipiatioaoalypercentagandftingvaluesfromJunetoAugust222wereselectedfor comparative analysis. The correlation was good,especially in Julyand August when drought was severe,with R2 values of 0.857 9 and 0.7797,espeieleigiicaestfOOsssd,ncatigtatthigingiteplatimethdandfooht nitoring in Nanchong area.
