Abstract:In this paper,the surface crack of untempered steel 38MnVS6 for automotive crankshaft during continuous casting was studied.Themechanismofcrackinducedbyhightemperaturemechanicalpropertiesandunevencoolingwasanalyzed.Byoptimizing theheightoftenoleadajustingteaterdtributionintesecondarycoingzone,theolinguiforityoftebiletsefec tivelyimprovedandthetemperaturereturnrateandtransversetemperaturedierenearereduced.Theresultsshowthatasoable controlofcooling conditions can significantly improve the surface qualityofthe biletandreduce thecrack defects.
