Abstract: It is the new mision of higher special education normal colleges to strengthen the construction of special education disciplines,optimize the training of talents and empower the construction of powerful education. Starting from theconstructionof knowledgeof special education,this study finds that traditional knowledge of special education is the product of adapting to the process of industrialization on the basis of reviewing the constructionof traditional knowledge of special educationand its limitations.China's special education has distinct characteristics of empiricism and knowledge diferentiation epistemology,and also has distinct limitations of the times and knowledge production.Atthe new starting point and with a fresh perspective on contemporary development,higher education institutions should embracean integrated epistemology for constructing special education knowledge,adopt a colectivist approach to special education discipline construction,and establish a comprehensive special education discipline cluster to maintain minimal program settings.
