Abstract:With theconcurrent developmentof traditional Chinesemedicine(TCM)and metabolomicsinthediagnosisand treatmentof iverfailure,techniquessuchasnuclear magneticresonance,massspectrometry,chromatography,metabolic flux analysis,andbioinformaticsenablethequalitativeorquantitativeanalysisofndogenoussmallmoleculemetabolitesinanimal modelsof liverfailureandpatientswithliverfailure.These methods helpidentifyspecificbiomarkersforearlydiagnosisand clinicalintervention.Thisarticlereviewsrecentdvancementsinmetabolomicsforthearlydiagnosisofliverfailure,biomarker discovery,identificationofTCMsyndromes,andtheapplicationofTCMintreatingliverfailure,aimingtoprovideabasisforCMbased diagnosis and treatment of liver failure.
