Abstract: In thecontext of higher education,the public physical education curriculum serves as a vital medium for enhancingphysical fitness,fosteringsportsskils,and importantlyintegrating ideologicaland political educationto moldstudents'personalities.Thisstudy focuses onanalyzing thecurent landscape of ideological and political development within physical education courses at North University of China.By grasping the unique features of physical education teaching and comprehending the implementation of ideological and political education in these courses,we aim to hamessthecomprehensive educational function.As students engage inphysical education,sientific and effective teaching methods are employedto provide them with comprehensive and accurate guidance on ideological and political values. Employing a range of research methodologies, including literature review, questionnaire surveys, in-depth interviews,comparativeanalysis,and logical reasoning,this study takes North Universityof China asacase study toexplore thechalenges faced inthe ideological and political developmentof its physical educationcourses. Addressing the deficiencies identified in the implementation of ideological and political education,a scientificand reasonablepromotional strategy isproposed.The key findings areas follows: Current Situation: (1) Teachers: Incomplete ideological and political teachingconcepts,inadequate teaching abilities,and insufficient explorationof ideological and political resoures.(2)Students: Poor mentalstatesandalackofcorrect values.(3)Support Mechanisms: Inadequateconstructionand management,lack of teachingevaluation,and insuficient trainingand guidance. Promotional Strategy: (1) Thoroughly explore the ideological and political elements within public physical education courses and establish a comprehensive educational system. (2)Enhance thecontinuation needed: likely "constructionof teaching stafs ideological and political competencies," or similar, to complete the thought.
