Mental Health Concept Promotes Helping Behavior： The Mediating Role of Self-care

Abstract：This studyaims to explore the impactof mental health concepts oncollege students'helping behaviorand the mediatingroleof self-care.Usingaconveniencesampling method，981studentsfromtwouniversities in ZhejiangProvince were selectedasresearchsubjects.ThestudyemployedtheMental Health PromotionConceptScale，the MentalHealthDiseaseResponse ConceptScale，theBrief Self-Care Scaleandthe Helping BehaviorTendency Questionnairefor measurement.Throughcrelation analysis andmediationefectmodelanalysis，thestudyexploredthrelationshipsbetweencolege students'mentalhealth promotion concepts，mentalhealthdiseaseresponseconepts，helpingbehavior，andself-care.Studieshaveshownthat helping behavioris closelyrelatedtothementalhealthofcolegestudents，andtheeducationalvalueofcollgestudents’mentalhealthshouldbe emphasizedTisstudyprovidesdatasupportforcollegesanduniversitiestodeeplyintegrate mentalhealtheducationandideological andmoraleducation，andconstructapsyhologicaleducationmodelof“helpingothersandhelpingoneself，takingpleasureinhelping others".
