Research on the Impact and Mechanism of Artificial Intelligence on E-commerce Transactions-Based on Prefecture-level City Panel Data

Abstract：Atpresent，ChinaezestheopporunityoftheeraofrtificialintellgencetechnologystrivingtopromoteArtfcal Intellgece（AI）empoweredindustries，andrealizingthehigh-qualitydevelopmentofindustriesfromdigitaltransforationto digital-iteligentransformation.Basedonthedataof260prefecture-levelcitisinCiafrom212toO23，tispaperhasfocused onanalyzing theimpactofAItechnologyonthelocale-commerceindustryanditsmechanism.Theresearchresultsshowthat：（l）AI technologycanefectivelypromotethegrowthoflocale-commerce transactionvolume;（2）Scientificandtechnologicalinvestment andthegovernment'spolicyatentiontothedigitaleconomyplayanintermediaryroleintheimpactofAItechnologyinthe e-commerce industry.AI technology promotes the increase of e-commerce transaction volume through two channels：improving scientificandtechnologicalinvestmentandpromotingthegovermenttoisuemorepiciesrelatedtotedigitalindustry;（The impactofthedevelopmentofAItechnologyonthelocale-commerceindustryhas heterogeneityamongdiferentregions，among which the impact effect in the western region is the best，and that in the eastern region is the worst.
