[Abstract] Objective： To investigate the effectiveness of combining general movements （GMs） assessment with cranial ultrasound in evaluating neonatal brain function.Method： During the study period from September 2023 toApril2O24，104 neonateswere enrolledat Hospital.Allneonates underwent cranial ultrasound within the first month of life GMs assessment at ages of 1 3 months. Clinical diagnoses were used to evaluate brain developmental outcomes at age of6months.The effectiveness of GMs combined with cranial ultrasound in assessing neonatal brain function was analyzed.Result：Among the 104 participants，81 cases （77.88 % ）were developmentally normal，while 20 cases （19.23 % ）were diagnosed with developmental delay 3 cases （2.88 % ） with cerebral palsy.The GMs assessment results showed that the normal rate was 64.42% in the twisting movement stage 71.15 % in the restless movement stage. Some children patients presented with abnormal postures or limited motorquality.Cranial ultrasound revealed no significantabnormalities in77.88%of the neonates.Thecombinationof bothassessmentsdemonstratedahighpredictive value forneonatal brain development outcomes （AUC of O.971，sensitivity of 95.7% ， specificity of 100% ）. Conclusion：The integrationofGMsassessment with cranial ultrasound efectivelyevaluates neonatal brain function hasa high predictivevalue，accurately identifyingrisksfordevelopmental normalcy，developmentaldelay，cerebralpalsy.
