【Abstract】As thecore componentof electricbus traction system，thereliabilityof inverterdirectlyafects the safety ofvehicleoperation.Thispaperacordingtothecommonfaulttypesof inverter，afaultdiagnosismodelbasedonwavelet transformand supportvector machine isestablished to realize theaccurate identification ofopen circuit and short circuit faults.Atthesametime，animprovedslidingmodefault-tolerantcontrolstrategyisdesignedtoachievesmoothtransition control underfaultconditions onthe basisof ensuring systemstability.The experimentalresultsshow that the accuracyof the proposed method for open-circuit fault identification is more than 95 % ，and the fault-tolerant control strategy can control the torque fluctuation within ±5% of the rated value，which provides an effective solution for improving the reliability of electric bus operation.
