SPICE simulation and experimental study of photodiodeamplification

Abstract:Inorder tointegrallyimprove theperformance of photodiodeamplificationcircuits,thedesignschemeis optimizedbasedontheoreticalresearchandbycombingthesoftwaresimulationwiththeexperimentaltesting.Fromthe perspectiveofsystemtransferfunction,thecauseofcircuitoscllationisrevealed,whichisthespecificamplitudeandphase relationshipbetweenopen-lopgainandfedbackfactor.Onthisbasis,theocilationconditionsareexplainedintuitively nthe graphical manner bymeansof TINA SPICEACandtransient simulation,and the loopgain Bode plot measured fordiferent fedback capacitorvalues usedforphasecompensation,as wellas thefrequencyresponse,stepresponse andimpulseresponseof the system,areprovided.Bycomparing theabove simulationresults,theimpactof feedback capacitancevaluesonsystem stabilityandbandwidthisdiscussed,andtheidealvalueiscalculatedbyconsideringthestabilityndbandwidthInalsionto theproblemof diicultiplementationinapplicationsduetoxceivelysallcapacitanevalues,astrategyofequivalentsall capacitanceusingT-shapedresistiveapacitiveetworkisproposed,whichisverifiedbythesimulation.Theexperimentaltsting isconductedonthephasemarginand bandwidthof thesystem.Theresultsshowthatwhenthecompensationcapacitoris5pF, the phase margin is about 68.4° ,the overshoot isless than 8% ,and no ringing phenomenon is observed.
