Abstract:In alusiontothe problem thatthe traditional low energyadaptiveclustering hierarchy (LEACH)protocol inradio frequencyenergy harvestingwirelessensor networks (RF-EHWSN)doesnotconsidertheremaining energyandcommunication distance of nodes intheclusterheadselection stage,resultingin highnodeenergyconsumptionandshorteningthenetwork life, as wellas theunbalancedenergyconsumptioncausedbysingle-hopdata transmision inthe steady-state phase,anenergyadaptiveclusteringandmulti-oproutingprotocolisproposed.Inthisprotocol,distanceandenergyfactorsareincoated duringthecluster formation phasetooptimize thecluster headselection process.Inthesteady-statephase,inter-clustermultihoproutingisemployed,whereclusterheadscanutilizeacostfunctiontoidentifyrelayroutingnodes,efectivelyreducing energyconsumptionduringdata transmision.Incomparison with the LEACHand LEACH-C protocols,the proposed protocol canextend the time until the first node death by 344.44% and1O5.13% respectively,and the timeuntil all O nodes die by 86.44% and 23.53% ,respectively. The network energy consumption is reduced by approximately 23.53% and 22.00% ,while the throughputisincreasedby212.90%and18.52%,respectively.Theexperimentalresultsdemonstratethattheproposedprotocol can significantly prolong network lifespan,balance energy consumption,and enhance network throughput.
