Strategic Control of Enterprise Venture Capital: A Classification Control Matrix

Abstract:In the field of venture capital,the amount and number of CVC transactions have kept climb ing.More and more executives have realized the strategic significance and value of CVC for corporate restructuring,innovation and transformation,as well as sustainable development.However,the resulting CVC strategic control problem is a huge challenge.The strategic control of CVC faces many basic problems,such as the multiplicity of business objectives,the dilemma of management under multiple objectives,and the response to dynamic and complex systems.The specific implementation process also frequently involves the proper handling of important issues such as transaction arrangements,resources allocation,incentive constraints,etc.By constructing a classification matrix for CVC strategic control,a relatively unified management view can be provided for enterprises,which is convenient for enterprises to formulate and implement diferentiated control measures in terms of CVC management autonomy and the collaboration with internal business units and departments,and dynamically adjust and optimize according to the implementation of the bilateral strategy between the enterprise and CVC.
